Official launch events for Automotive SPICE™

The first launch event for Automotive SPICE™ was held on 25 April 2006 at the Munich IHK (Chamber of Commerce), Germany and was attended by 160 people.

The second launch event for Automotive SPICE™ was held on 26 September 2006 at the Göteborg Convention Centre, Gothenburg, Sweden and attended by 120 people.

The motor vehicle manufacturers were present at the events to convey their official policy and approach towards supplier capability assessments. There were presentations regarding specific process requirements and safety aspects of capability levels.

Automotive SPICE™ is an initiative of the Automotive Special Interest Group (SIG), a joint special interest group of The SPICE User Group and The Procurement Forum. The members of the Automotive SIG include AUDI AG, BMW Group, Daimlerr AG, Fiat Auto S.p.A., Ford Werke GmbH, Jaguar, Land Rover, Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Volkswagen AG and Volvo Car Corporation.
